Australian rock band Hands Like Houses have just released their fifth studio album, ATMOSPHERIC on February 14, 2025, through the independent label Civilians. This 16-track double album marks a significant evolution for the Australian band, notably through the introduction of Josh Raven, former frontman of The Faim, as their new lead vocalist. Raven previously expressed his enthusiasm about joining the band, stating that it opened "a whole new world" for him, allowing self-discovery as a writer, singer, and individual. This new lineup marks a rebirth for Hands Like Houses, following the departure of their original lead vocalist, Trenton Woodley, due to "a difference in perspective".

This project is the start of many and to sense a progression not just through the songs but within ourselves as people is something we’re eternally grateful for” the band shared on Instagram. The album, divided into four volumes - Tropo, Strato, Meso, and Thermo - each inspired by different layers of Earth's atmosphere, symbolizes the band's exploration of new musical horizons. It also features collaborations with various artists, including Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens on the track "Obey" and Philip Strand of Normandie on "Hurts Like Hell".

The band will also embark on three album launch events in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne, featuring exclusive behind the scenes footage of the making of the album, a Q&A session and stripped back acoustic performances.

ATMOSPHERICS’s ambitious concept and the seamless integration of Raven's vocals marks the band's new era and creative evolution.
