On the first date of Spiritbox’s European tour, the atmosphere was full of anticipation. As the band took the stage, the crowd erupted in a wave of excitement, ready to be swept away by the powerful performance that was about to unfold.
The night kicked off with a brand new song called “Fata Morgana” from their upcoming album Tsunami Sea (released March 7), which gave the audience a taste of the band’s new era. The track was then followed by the Grammy-nominated “Cellar Door” which set the tone for a spectacular night, and “Jaded”, a fan favourite that had the London fans cheering and singing along. The stage setting was impressive, larger-than-life colourful screens that spanned the stage’s length added a visual dimension that enhanced the musical experience and showcased the band’s creative and imaginative mind.
The show continued with plenty of hits from their debut album and EPs. “The Void” had the audience on their feet, energetically jumping and bopping along, whilst “Eternal Blue” was introduced by vocalist Courtney LaPlante as a reminder of their first time in London. “Circle With Me” was greeted by grins and smiles, unwavering bouncy energy and electric atmosphere filling the room for the iconic performance of their biggest hit yet.
As the evening progressed, the band took a moment to connect with the audience, talking about how they got to know their fans along the years, leading to the moment they surprised biggest fan Tate and their partner to come onto the stage. Little did we know that this created the perfect setting for an heartfelt proposal in front of 10 000 people, followed by the crowd erupting with cheers as they joyfully accepted the proposal.

The audience was fully immersed in the performance, from touching moments to energetic mosh pits throughout the entire set. The concert’s energy reached its peak when the first notes of “Holy Roller” started, an absolute fan favourite, accompanied by sensational pyrotechnics. When it comes to singalongs, this was undoubtedly the standout track, sending the crowd into a frenzy, everyone singing the iconic lyrics “Blood into wine, take my body instead” as loud as they could.
Each member's performance was absolutely flawless, with LaPlante leading the way through an impressive tour de force of a set in London, one that merged her impressive vocal range with electric stage presence and enigmatic charisma.
The show was closed off with an acoustic rendition of “Constance”, introduced as ‘‘a song to make us so sad, but now playing it for you is the happiest I’ve ever felt” claimed the front-woman, which followed halfway through by heavier riffs and confettis raining down on the audience, a perfect way to end the night.
It was clear from the moment they took the stage for their biggest headlining (and sold-out) show that Spiritbox were always meant for the bigger things. It is only just the beginning for them, and we can’t wait to see what’s to come with the new era.
