Opening for Set It Off were a series of opening acts that were well in tune with the headliners. First onto the stage was the french modern metal band TSS, who delivered a self-assured opening to the evening. They rocked the house with a very unique sound, a blend of emo, metalcore and alternative rock with a pinch of synth. Londoners Call Me Amour graced the stage next with high energy and an electrifying live set, the vocalist connecting with the audience and joining mosh pits throughout the set. The performance was highly captivating through the band’s strong musical skills and frontman’s undeniable charisma. Next American pop-punk Point North took the stage to get the crowd well warmed up and pumped for the rest of evening. Fans were excited to see Set It Off’s vocalist Cody Carson also join them on stage for their song ‘‘Below The Belt’’, and TSS’s Matthieu Kirby also added backing screaming vocals on their last song.

Before the arrival of the main act though, Point North set up a little prank for the headliners final show and asked the crowd to face the other way for the first song, which the audience happily responded to. “Turn around you motherfuckers” said the vocalist as he burst out onto the stage. Straight into the highly popular “Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing (Reborn)” Set It Off were all smiles and unwavering bouncy energy as the crowd sang along to the lyrics. Then followed with “Fake Ass Friends” and “The Haunting”, tracks that highlighted the band’s ability to captivate the audience with both their musicality and stage presence. It’s been a couple of years since we have seen the Florida trio on a London stage, in fact their last headlining performance was in November 2022 so the excitement was palpable as the band made their way into the set.

Without failing to sell out tonight’s date, vocalist Cody Carson, guitarist Zach DeWall, drummer Maxx Danzige and touring guitarist/bassist Robert Joffred stormed through a set of rocky and bouncy tracks, delivering on all points. Set It Off’s 15-song set encompassed their 17 years long career, showcasing their versatility and talent. Backdropped by a giant Set It Off flag, they played a mix of their discography, including the songs “The Haunting” and “N.M.E” from their 2014 album, Duality, “Hypnotised” from their 2016’s Upside Down which prompted a massive singalong from the audience, whilst also incorporating newer tracks such as “Parasite” and “Win Win”, both released in 2023. “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” from their 2012 Cinematics gave the opportunity for the vocalist and drummer to switch places, giving Maxx the front centre stage and displaying the band’s skills as multitalented performers.

“It’s the last night of tour and we’re just so fucking happy” said the frontman, in one of his many streams of consciousness. We could sense what it meant for the band for this tour to be coming to an end. They concluded the show with the energetic“Punching Bag”, confettis raining down on the audience as the band said their final goodbye.

Set It Off filled out the stage with the confidence of a band that had been performing for almost two decades, with unwavering bouncy energy filling up the room throughout the set, their performance really capturing the audience from start to finish.
